Sonograms

My cousin Ashley messaged me an embroidered sonogram and suggested I try one out on my scratchboards. I thought this was a most excellent idea so I started with one for a friend as a gift.

When I first shared it on social media people thought it was a pregnancy announcement.  NOPE! I can't believe I didn't see that one coming (but what an awesome idea). I loved getting to make something a little different from the norm and scratchboards are really the perfect medium for a sonogram portrait. Also I think its great to have a more durable sonogram as a keepsake to cherish and display than the flimsy paper versions you get to take home. I have since done two others. My first daughter Evie, so that I had an example to take around with me.

As well as another commission which I just mailed out today.

I just love these! I mean who doesn't love babies?
